Creating photos that attract attention can depend a lot on the equipment used. Cosy Home uses the same photography equipment for each job which means consistent and attractive looks are achieved on every occasion.

The Sony A7IV provided high-resolution images which are excellent for all types of photography. While the camera boasts some of the best autofocus capabilities in the camera world, the A7 IV is our camera of choice for other reasons. The high-resolution images and large full-frame sensor allow for plenty of light to form the final image. This is perfect for property photos that need to look amazing even on overcast or darker days.

High-quality glass allows for each property to be seen with excellent quality. There are two main lenses used by our photographers:

Sony Zeiss 16-35mm lens f4.0

Tamron 28-75mm lens f2.8

These two lenses provide sharp photos that cover both wider photos, as well as more intimate close-ups that showcase details. The Sony Zeiss 16-35mm is perfect because it showcases the size of a property without deceiving viewers like some other wider lenses can, and with less distortion than other lenses.

The Tamron 28-75mm can provide more interesting close-ups that can focus on details and attractive Airbnb decorations within your home.

A flash is also key for many properties because it can prevent discolouration that sometimes occurs from pure daylight photos which can provide different colours depending on the time of day.

Other items that we use are a carbon fibre tripod from Neewer and a Benro-geared tripod head. Having light-weight but sturdy and reliable tripods is essential for getting pin-sharp photos which explains how these became our top choice for the budget.

For measuring a property, we use a laser measurer to provide the measurement data which is then inputted into an iPad for a quick and convenient workflow.
